We had a nice quiet Easter in Columbia this year. We went to church Sunday morning then came home and ate lunch before we hunted Easter Eggs. Which of course was tons of fun! After the kids napped we made a nice dinner and invited our neighbor over to eat with us. It was a great day. The weather was perfect the whole weekend so not only did we spend time outside Sunday but we spent a lot of time outside on Friday and Saturday too. We are enjoying these warmer days. Below are some pictures of the kids hunting Easter Eggs in our backyard.

Avery Lynn's 3rd Birthday
You knew I would come back and update again sometime.....right? It's only been 3 months since she turned 3. Lol. I could give a million excuses as to why I haven't been posting but mostly life has gotten in the way and my time has been spent doing things other than being on the computer.... such as getting the house ready to sell, selling the house, and now preparing to move. But I figured if I didn't sit down and get a couple of posts done it was going to be Aug. and I was going to be way behind. So blah, blah, blah. Here are some catch up posts.
Avery Lynn turned 3 back in January and had a Dora the Explorer themed cooking party. We invited friends and they got to make all kinds of tasty treats "from around the world" since Dora is such the traveler. Avery Lynn had a blast. She went to the Doctor in February for her 3 yr checkup and weighed 28 lbs and was 38 inches tall. She is happy and healthy and full of energy. She cracks us up with her 3 yr old comments and thinking. Just to document what she wants to be when she grows up, she has said for the last 6 months that she wants to be a garbage man when she grows up. She will drive the truck and she has "offered" to let me ride on the back and throw the trash in when she stops. So priceless. But in the last couple of weeks she has decided that she wants to be a mom when she grows up. That may turn out to be a little more accurate, I guess we'll see. Here are some pictures of her from her birthday party and her actual birthday at home the following day.

Ogles Family Pictures
We got Ricky's mom a family picture session as part of her Christmas present. It had been quite a while since we had taken a big group shot. In fact it had been about 6 years so the weekend after Thanksgiving we all met to get one taken. A big shout out to Lisa Crain Parsons, she did an awesome job capturing the kids attention. It is no easy task to take a family picture with four little kids. It was a great experience and we got lots of good pictures. Here are some of the images.

Christmas is Coming!
Let's just pretend that I did the fall posts I intended to do as well as the swimming video from the end of summer. ; ) I decided to go ahead and put up these winter pictures because if I keep waiting to catch up first its not going to ever happen. Finding time to get pictures off the camera (or phone) and edit them and put them on the blog has definitely taken a back seat. We'll just pretend that I'm using that time for playing with the kids instead of being on the computer : ) I thought once we made it to October life would slow down a little but it has not. I can't believe it is nearly January. Before we know it we are going to be packing boxes and saying good bye to Columbia. Anyhow, we have been up to lots of Christmas things around here lately. We've been to visit Santa, made ornaments, Christmas crafts, Christmas concerts at school, gone to see the Magic Tree, and even played in the snow. I have more pictures that may or may not make it to the blog (they haven't made it to the computer yet ) but these two have so you can see them. We are definitely excited about Christmas here at the Ogles house. We move our candy cane and take a link off the chain everyday. Caden can certainly tell you how many days are left until Christmas. I don't think we will miss it!

Amanda's Wedding Weekend
We had a blast celebrating Amanda and Clinton's wedding. It was a great weekend and the weather was great for the outdoor wedding. Things got a bit windy for the veil : ) but I think everyone would agree that if that was the worst thing of the ceremony then things went very well. To be honest it seemed much more distracting while standing up there then it looks captured in the pictures so I think it was likely on my mind (and the other bridesmaids minds) much more than everyone else watching the ceremony. Here are some of my favorite pics that I captured from the weekend. I don't have any of the actual ceremony posted here since I was up front and Ricky didn't take any since he was in charge of the two kids after they came down the aisle and were done "on stage". Amanda has like 1,000 (literally) more that the photographer captured but here are some of the ones I got. The last ones are of Avery Lynn and Issac. Issac is Clinton's nephew, his sister's oldest son. My kids had an absolute blast playing with Issac and Austin (Clinton's nephews) that weekend and can't wait for many more get togethers in the future.
