Caden's 1 Year Pictures

For anyone who is interested Caden's 1 Yr pictures are up on the photographers website. Her website is www.triplewondersphotography.com once you get there you have to click on the pictures to enter into the site. Then on the upper right hand side it says "Clients." Click there and it will prompt you for a password. The password is caden (all lower case). Then it will ask for your name and email. Guess this is her way of knowing who's looking... and then you can view. Enjoy!

p.s. For Grandparents who might want to order she said not to order through the website we need to go directly through her.

Caden's First Ever Birthday Party

We had a little birthday party for Caden at my parents house in Cape to celebrate his birthday. I did a barnyard theme and we had it outside by the pool. Lots of family came, and Caden got lots of fun new toys and clothes. Thanks everyone. I think Caden had a good time. Here are some pictures from the big day.

THE CAKE

This is the cake that everyone other than Caden ate.

THE PRESENTS

Tissue paper is even better than the presents! : - )

Caden Lyle - 1 yr old

A lot of things have changed in the past year...Not only for Ricky and I but for Caden as well. I get a lot less sleep, at least on the weekends. Sleeping in until noon or even 10am is no longer an option. However, we have been blessed with a good sleeper so we can't complain. We do get to sleep without interruption (at least most nights). Caden has grown a lot (stats to come when we have our 1 yr check up). Caden can now talk ("Mama", "Dada", "Uh-Oh", "ish" for fish, I swear he said "eye" last night when he pointed to my eye). He is very mobile, crawling and pulling up on everything. Walking with help or with a toy. The past year has been tons of fun and Ricky and I have gotten to experience so much of it! I'm very excited that I have gotten to stay home with Caden on a daily basis and Ricky has gotten to be home a lot as well as the fourth year of Med school allowed for some much needed time off. It has been a blast and we are excited about the years to come.

Still Friends...

Lilly has put up with Caden for 12 months now. Not always happily, but she thinks he is fun at least some of the time. He will now throw her toys for her and she enjoys another person doing that. Although he also steals her toys from her, he has a history or coming up and just taking the bone she is chewing right out of her mouth. Thankfully she is a wonderful dog and allows him to do this without biting off his hand. But she is beginning to stand her ground a little more. She will now take the bone back from him. Of course, Caden doesn't enjoy this and he throws a little fit as if someone has just stolen his favorite toy that he was playing with. But it usually doesn't last long as we remind him that was Lilly's toy and she was playing with it first. : - )

Anyway Caden and I went to the dollar store yesterday and I found the cutest stick pony, for $1. Caden saw me looking at them and he wanted to see it. So I handed it to him but then I wasn't able to get it back from him. I took it back (to put it up) and he started to scream..So I caved. I figured it was his birthday week and it was only a $1. He can have it. Katie warned me the other day of this. I have a history of going to the toy department at Walmart before I start my shopping and grabbing a toy or a book or something to occupy Caden as I do my shopping. It has worked great up to this point. Usually by the end of the store he has lost interest in it and I simply put it back before we check out. It works great. But Katie said, that may not last much longer.... Well I'm hoping it was just that we didn't spend as much time in Dollar Tree as we do in Walmart and that was the problem. He still liked it when I tried to take it away. I guess we'll see next time I do it at Walmart. Maybe I should pick a cheap toy just in case. : - ) But back to my point. Caden played with the stick pony all afternoon and I captured a video of him and Lilly playing with it. Not exactly the way you typically play with a stick pony but they don't seem to mind.

Here are a couple of other pictures from this weekend and yesterday.
Caden found out that the water hose was pretty cool.

Walking with Push Toy

Caden has been walking with his push toy (by himself) for a few weeks now, but I finally decided to video it, so I thought I would share. It seems so funny to me to see him walking across the room. I'll be sitting on the couch (on the computer or something) and out of the corner of my eye I catch a glimpse of something. Here comes Caden...walking across the room (with his push toy of course.)
