Baby Crazy

No not me...It's my 20 month old son. He is baby obsessed! Since we went home at Easter and he got to see his baby cousin, Caroline, he is really into babies. Literally every day he goes to the front door and wants to let "baby" in. Of course, there is no baby at our door...but daily we have this conversation. He asks about "baby" regularly. He can spot babies when we are out, etc. He doesn't really want to do much with the babies when we are with them.... he just wants to admire them from afar. He doesn't want to say hello or anything, just watch them. Last night I decided to get out a baby doll that was in his closet since I was pregnant. We used the baby a few times with the dog before Caden was born to try to get her ready. Anyway I asked Caden if he wanted me to find a baby doll and of course he said yes so I got it out. He Loved It! He carried it around all night. They baby got lots of hugs and kisses. We all had to lay on the floor with the baby while it took a nap, he rubbed the baby's back, he even had the baby petting Lilly. It was too funny. When it became bedtime I couldn't even get him to part with the baby so the baby slept with him last night. And this morning of course it started all over again. Too Funny! But before you go and assume that he is ready for a sibling I might add that I did have to tell him to quit throwing the baby this morning. So I'm not sure he is quite there. : - )

The First "Real" Haircut

Caden had his first trip to the beauty shop last Thursday. I took him to the lady that cuts my hair for his first real haircut. I have trimmed his bangs twice but I wasn't brave enough to cut everything. He did awesome for the haircut. He sat in my lap and enjoyed the sucker she gave him. He was funny during the cut, when he would see a chunk of hair fall he would say "Oh No!"
Before the Haircut...
During the Haircut..gotta stop for a picture
After the Haircut. I guess it's just like when I get my hair cut. You don't really like the way someone else fixes it. I didn't care for it initially but it has grown on me.

He still has some curl left. He is enjoying the lake view at a friends wedding reception this weekend.

Not the best picture but two very cute guys!

Here Piggy Piggy

On Saturday Caden and I went to the Vet School's annual open house. Ricky had to work the weekend so it was a fun thing to get out of the house and do. They had a lot of animals to see including lizards, crocodiles, frogs, snakes, dogs, horses, cows, sheep, goats, piglets, and I'm sure a lot more we didn't get to see. Caden's favorite was the baby pigs which he got to pet. There were two of them and of course he wanted to pet the one that didn't want to be petted. He enjoyed chasing it around and finally cornered it and got to pet it.

Tons of Trucks

Our Parks and Recreation held their annual Tons of Trucks Night last night and it was a blast! It was held in a big parking lot in a city park. There were all kinds of big trucks (everything from school buses, police cars, fire engines, tractors, dump trucks, etc.) for the kids to drive, sit and play in. More or less it was an evening of kids running wild honking horns and sirens going off. Needless to say Caden thought it was awesome. We had to park far away so the whole way walking up he kept saying WOW! because he could hear the horns and sirens. He loved it even more when we got close enough to actually see the trucks. Then today for playgroup we toured a local Fire station where he got to get in a firetruck again. What fun!
First time on a school bus. The boy loves his school buses. He can spot them anywhere. In fact he spotted this one from the road as we where coming into the park.
